Here's USA vs Guinea odds and a pick, including a 2024 Olympics men's soccer preview.

In the final game of the group stage at the 2024 Summer Olympics, the United States and Guinea battle in men’s soccer on Tuesday.

The Americans may only need a draw to qualify for the knockout rounds of the tournament, owning three points after the win over New Zealand.

Meanwhile, Guinea has already been eliminated from advancing, looking to play spoiler after a pair of losses.

This would be a huge result for the USA to qualify from Group A, and I like the price for a Single Game Parlay for the team to do so.

USA Picks

After opening with a disappointing 3-0 loss to France, there were many people already counting out the Americans. However, they responded well with a dominant 4-1 victory over New Zealand.

The stats also back up how well the United States played in the win. USA racked up 22 shots and scored a trio of goals in the opening 30 minutes.

The response was exactly what the Americans needed to recover their goal difference. Heading into the final match, the United States holds a two-goal advantage over New Zealand to own the tiebreaker.

With the Kiwis playing France in the final round, I believe the USA could be fine with a draw in this one, but I don’t believe it's comfortable enough to play for a tie.

Guinea Picks

Guinea is competing in men's soccer at the Olympics for the second time in the country’s history. The last appearance came back at the 1968 Summer Games in Mexico City.

In that tournament, Guinea also was eliminated in the group stage, but the African nation was able to secure one win before heading home.

The headliner on the roster is former Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita. He is joined in midfield by Guinea’s other two veterans in Amadou Diawara (Anderlecht) and Abdoulaye Toure (Le Havre).

They all need to play well if they want to lead their nation to a positive end to the tournament.

Prediction

I do like the Americans to avoid defeat in this matchup, but I don’t want to back them as heavy favorites on the moneyline.

So, this leads me to my favorite bet being a Same-Game Parlay, pairing together USA double chance and the total to fly over two goals at -120 odds at Bet365.

The primary reason for this bet is the fact that I don’t trust Guinea’s defense. Yes, France was only able to score once, but the French racked up three big chances.

This comes after Guinea allowed a pair of goals and four big chances against New Zealand. This was against a Kiwi team that Team USA dominated.

Meanwhile, both American matches have gone over this total, and I expect this to be another open game. USA will be pushing to advance, while Guinea may just go for goals after already being eliminated from advancing.

The United States has only qualified for the knockout rounds of the Summer Olympics just once since 1960, but I like the nation’s chances to buck that trend with a result here.

Pick: USA Double Chance & Over 2 (-120)
