After winning the Italian Serie A title for the eighth straight time in 2018-19, Juventus opened as the -175 favorites to make it nine in 2019-20. Over the course of the summer, they've increased to -225.
2020 Italy Serie A Odds
A $225 bet on Juventus would yield $100.
Juventus are receiving more than 70% of early bets to win the title and the onslaught of action, along with the signing of Matthijs de Ligt and others, has increased their odds from -175 to -225.
Inter Milan (+500) present the most formidable competition based on the odds and they've got former Juve manager Antonio Conte behind the bench next season. Conte previously managed Juventus from 2011-2014 and also played for The Old Lady from 1991-2004.
Napoli easily finished as the second-best team in 2018-19 but they enter 2019-20 with the third-best odds (+600) to top Serie A.
Atalanta remarkably finished fourth last season, which qualified them for the 2019-20 Champions League, but another top-four finish will be difficult with the likes of Roma and AC Milan in the mix.
One thing to note is the high frequency of coaching changes in the league. There were 12 managers who were either fired or resigned during the 2018-19 season and four more following the season, all at top-six clubs (Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, Roma).
