Let the FIFA 2022 World Cup betting hype begin.
The group draw for the 2022 World Cup — set to be played in Qatar throughout the end of November and the first half of December — was held last Friday, allowing us to get a better picture of the tournament's landscape.
As the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) was struck down in 2018 by the Supreme Court, the World Cup was given a taste of legal American betting action in the last go-around, but only New Jersey and Delaware had the infrastructure in place for bettors.
Now, dozens of states have retail betting infrastructures in place, meaning the World Cup will truly get its first run in the United States as a betting event this winter. That's a bit of a milestone considering the magnitude of the event.
As such, you can check back on this article for updated odds and information regarding teams ahead of the World Cup, including updated lines to win the title from multiple sportsbooks.

Updates By Week
April 4: Brazil might be favored to take home the Jules Rimet Trophy, but if the Selecao don't follow through and win the World Cup, it's likely the winner will come from Europe. Eight of the top 10 favorites in the competition come from UEFA, though Brazil and Argentina are both in the top five of shortest odds.
Recent World Cup winners such as France (+550), Spain (+800) and Germany (+1000) are fellow teams in the top six, while 2018 semifinalist and Euro 2020 runner-up England is the other team in the top five.
The United States checks in at +8000 (BetMGM) and +11000 (FanDuel) to win the title after it was placed in a group with England, Iran and one of the following nations — Wales, Ukraine or Scotland — ahead of the competition.
