Group D should be an absolute cake walk for the two European sides France and Denmark.

They are joined by Tunisia, whom I have ranked as the 70th-best team in the world and the winner of the intercontinental playoff between Peru and either United Arab Emirates or Australia.

Of all of the groups in the World Cup, my guess is this one will have the least amount of drama.

The Favorite: France

The defending World Cup champion has just as much talent as anyone in this tournament and it's why it's the overwhelming favorite. Oh, and they have the best player in the world in Kylian Mbappé. Even though Les Bleus had a quick exit at Euros, they still won the "Group of Death" over Germany and Portugal. France cruised through World Cup qualifying without much of a sweat.

Needless to say, France should handily win this group.

The Dark Horse: Denmark

Denmark made it all the way to the Euro semifinals, where it was knocked out by England. It wasn't a shock to those who have been paying attention because the Danes have loads of talent all over the pitch, which they showed in World Cup qualifying by winning nine of their 10 matches to win Group F.

Potential Shock Elimination: Denmark

I don't see how France will get shocked by anyone in this group outside of Denmark. However, if the Danes slip up against the winner of Peru, Australia or Tunisia, which is possible given the styles of play of those three teams, the Danes could be heading home early.
