Champions League returns this week for match day 3, which kicks off in Italy with a game between AC Milan and Club Brugge.
Milan failed to pick up a point in the competition through two games after losses to Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen.
Meanwhile, the Belgian club secured a win over SK Sturm Graz following a defeat to Dortmund to sit mid-table in the new UCL format.
The San Siro has had some memorable moments in this tournament, and the home side will be desperate for a result here. So, we preview the fixture and give our best bet for the game between AC Milan and Club Brugge.
Here is my AC Milan vs. Club Brugge prediction.

I am backing Christian Pulisic to earn a goal or assist in Club Brugge vs. AC Milan.
AC Milan Preview
It has been a tricky start to his debut campaign with the club for manager Paulo Fonseca. Milan failed to record a win in their first three matches in Serie A.
The schedule also did him no favors with his opening two games in the Champions League being top clubs. However, he was able to silence any alarm bells with the big derby victory.
Milan earned a 2-1 win over Inter Milan in the Derby della Madonnina to defeat the local rival for the first time in two years. It also ended a streak of six straight losses.
One player who has enjoyed Fonseca’s management and tactics has been United States international Christian Pulisic. The American has six goals and three assists in all competitions.
Club Brugge Preview
After a year out of the tournament, Club Brugge return to the Champions League this season. It is easy to forget that the Belgian club reached the round of 16 in that 2022-23 campaign.
The club took advantage of the soft opposition in match day 2 by winning in Austria over Sturm Graz. A victory at the San Siro would be a memorable one for Brugge.
This is a side that is led by its midfield. Hans Vanaken, Andreas Skov Olsen and Christos Tzolis each have at least three goals this season.
Meanwhile, Gustaf Nilsson leads the front line with four assists and a trio of goals. The Belgian champion will need a full team effort to earn another win.
AC Milan vs. Club Brugge Prediction
When I was looking into this match, I wanted to find a way to get behind the home side in what is essentially a must-win game. However, I then saw this bet offered in the prop market, and I couldn’t move away from it.
So, my best bet is for Pulisic to score or assist at -105 at bet365, which I would bet to -120. I also don’t hate a look at him to score anytime at +200.
I touched on the strong start to the campaign for the American, which has led to this being a profitable bet as well. In 10 matches for Milan, this same bet would have cashed in eight for Pulisic.
Yes, Brugge were able to get a shutout win in the club’s last Champions League game, but you also saw the same team struggle when stepping up in class against Dortmund.
The German side scored three goals, and it was a game that was played in Belgium. I don’t trust that the defense will be much better on the road in Italy.
I also love the price offered at bet365 compared to other sportsbooks, which have this closer to -130. I’ll try to take advantage with Captain America on Tuesday.
