The Highlights
- Manchester City are listed at -150 odds to repeat as Premier League champions in 2018-19
- Liverpool (+450) and Manchester United (+700) are the next closest contenders
- Newly promoted Wolverhampton (250-1) already have better title odds than 11 other clubs
Manchester City clinched the 2017-18 Premier League title in mid-April, as they broke numerous records, including wins, consecutive wins, points, goals and goal differential. They were available at +240 last May and +180 right before the start of the season.
Sportsbooks haven't had to think too much to install Man City as the clear favorites to repeat as champions in 2018-19 (Odds via SkyBet and Bet365):
Manchester City are the obvious favorites to win the Premier League title next season at -150 odds (60% implied probability) followed by Liverpool (+450) and Manchester United (+700).
Three London clubs round out the top six, with Chelsea at +1100, Tottenham +1200 and Arsenal an outsider at +2500.
70% of Premier League teams have odds of 200-1 or worse to win the title, but it's always worth reminding people of Leicester City's 5000-1 dream run for the trophy in 2015-16.
It's far too early to make a wager for next season, but we'll highlight any significant moves that occur throughout the summer.
