Bayern Munich Prediction
As the UEFA Champions League narrows down to its final eight, Bayern Munich is once again in the spotlight, carrying the legacy of their 2020 title into this high-stakes quarterfinal clash against Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena.
The Bavarian giants come into this first-leg showdown in commanding domestic form, having secured a 3-1 win over Augsburg last weekend to maintain their six-point lead atop the Bundesliga. That momentum, combined with their exceptional home record in the UCL — unbeaten in their past 22 home matches in the competition (W17, D5) — makes Bayern a formidable opponent for any side.
Vincent Kompany's men know what’s at stake and can take confidence from the fortress that the Allianz Arena has become. However, there's a historical footnote to be wary of: Bayern’s last UCL home loss came in the first leg of the 2020-21 quarterfinals. Their overall record at this stage of the tournament stands strong with 21 wins and 13 losses, though they had suffered three consecutive quarterfinal exits before dispatching Arsenal in last season’s edition.
Much of Bayern’s threat comes from their attacking firepower, with Leroy Sane in electric form — scoring three goals and providing one assist in his last three appearances. He also found the net the last time he faced Inter Milan. His duel against Inter's Denzel Dumfries could be a decisive one, especially considering the Dutch defender’s tendency to foul — he's committed 17 in the competition so far, one of the highest tallies.
Another statistic worth noting? Bayern has scored 12 of their past 15 UCL goals after halftime. If you're Inter, the real danger comes when the clock hits 45.
With experience, depth, and an ironclad home record, Bayern Munich enters this tie as a serious contender — not just to reach the semis, but to go all the way.

Inter Prediction
With only eight teams left standing in the UEFA Champions League, Inter Milan arrives at the quarterfinals as Italy’s last hope — and they’re dreaming big. The 2010 champions are still in the hunt for a historic treble, leading Serie A and battling in the Coppa Italia semifinals. But first, a giant hurdle awaits: Bayern Munich, at the Allianz Arena.
This first leg in Germany is Inter’s third matchup against a Bundesliga side this season. So far, it’s been a mixed bag: a narrow 1-0 win over RB Leipzig and a 1-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen. Historically, Inter’s record on German soil isn’t exactly flattering — just six wins in 23 visits (D8, L9). Still, any result that isn't a loss would be considered a win for Simone Inzaghi’s squad heading into the second leg.
Inzaghi himself has a personal mountain to climb. He’s faced Bayern four times as a manager, lost every single one, and has seen his teams concede at least two goals in each. Needless to say, he’s hoping to flip the script this time.
Inter’s Champions League quarterfinal record doesn’t inspire overwhelming confidence either: just three wins in seven appearances in the UCL era. But with this being a season where everything seems to click, they’ll know this is their moment to prove the past doesn’t dictate the future.
Inter may be underdogs in this matchup, but they’ve got more than just pride on the line — they’ve got a shot at greatness.

Bayern Munich vs. Inter Pick
Inter arrives in strong attacking form and is still chasing the dream of a treble, while Bayern has scored 12 of their past 15 UCL goals in the second halves and remains unbeaten in their past 22 home games in the competition.
However, Kompany’s side has also shown defensive weaknesses in key moments. With attacking quality on both ends (Sane in form, Lautaro firing), both teams scoring seems very likely. Still, under 2.5 could also be in the cards.
