The last time these teams met, seven cards were produced and I believe we could see a similar story in Tuesday's matchup.

Manchester United and Villarreal are both in need of at least a point from this contest. A loss puts each team at risk of dropping into the group's third spot, which would put them in a dire position heading into the final matchweek of the group stage.

The English side is also entering the match with caretaker manager Michael Carrick at the helm after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. If there's one thing you can guarantee from United in this match, it's that players will be willing to get stuck in with the stakes high and a fresh chance to impress someone.

Villarreal has conceded 12 bookings in the group stage, so despite the high price on this selection, the value is there. Five cards is a lot, but I anticipate these teams will operate in a way that could give the bet great action.

Barcelona vs. Benfica

The PickBenfica Team Total — Over 1.5 (+195)

Though Benfica isn't necessarily producing an excessive amount of goal-scoring chances in the Champions League, it has in the Primeira Liga and this is a match that could set up well for goals.

The Eagles currently sit in third place in the group with four points, and they'll need three points to advance ahead of Barcelona into the second spot with a match to play. Benfica is generating 1.97 xG/game in its domestic league while Barcelona is conceding just north of 1 xGA/game in La Liga play.

When Benfica is forced to come out firing in this contest, it could create for open play in both directions. That's a desired result for this bet, and it's a very realistic possibility.

Look for the sides that have conceded 15 goals in eight UCL games thus far looking to capitalize on the other's defensive weaknesses and create a high-scoring affair that lends itself to value for the road underdog.

Young Boys vs. Atalanta

The PickAtalanta — Win and Over 1.5 (+100)

The other pivotal Group F game features Young Boys and Atalanta. Each club remains alive in the group, and goal differential could play a role in deciding who advances in the end.

Atalanta is currently in third place with five points, but a win by two goals would ensure a top-two position heading into the final round of games. And a thorough performance would provide even more comfort.

Young Boys brings up the rear with three points, but two victories would create a solid chance of advancing to the knockout round. More likely, however, is the Swiss side finds results that could offer it a path to the Europa League via a third-place finish.

Either way, Young Boys has conceded five goals thus far at home in the competition and Atalanta was able to notch a 1-0 win the first time around. This is a fairly comfortable matchup for the Italian side, which has far more quality than its opponent.

Use this prop to back Atalanta at a quality price.
