Pulisic has looked lively across the first two World Cup games of his career, and he looked the most likely to score against England last Friday. After a shifty turn and drive by Weston McKennie gave Pulisic a chance on the left wing, the Chelsea forward put a big left foot through the ball.

It hit the crossbar.

In the USMNT's opener against Wales, Pulisic was the most positive player on the pitch during the first half before tapering off slightly down the stretch.

Still, his performance against England gave him Player of the Match honors.

It's clear the American public is bullish on Pulisic getting over the line in a do-or-die match against Iran.

The U.S. need to win in order to advance to the knockout stages, where they'd face the Netherlands, Ecuador or Senegal in the round of 16. A loss or draw would eliminate them.

Pulisic's odds to score at PointsBet of +280 imply a probability of 26.3% that he nets his first-ever World Cup goal. The fair value for that line, however, is far higher — the market price is heavily deflated because of public interest.
