It’s hard to imagine a sexier Euro 2024 Final than Spain facing England for the title on Sunday.
The countries were the two favorites from the start of the tournament, so it’s only fitting they‘ll go head-to-head in what’ll surely be a treat for soccer fans around the world. Spain is favored at -155 at DraftKings while England is +120. Spain is +145 to win in regulation while a tie is +185 and England is +235.
Spain is aiming to win its fourth Euro championship, which would break a tie with Germany for the most all-time. Spain won back-to-back titles in 2008 and 2012, and are 3-1 all-time in the Final. Meanwhile, England’s looking for their first Euro title. They made the Final for the first time in the previous tournament, but fell to Italy in 3-2 in penalties.
Spain clinched its spot with a 2-1 win over France on Tuesday. Sixteen-year-old sensation – yes, you read that right – Lamine Yamal provided the team’s first goal on a 60-mph blast. Dani Olmo scored only four minutes later in the 25th minute to provide Spain all it needed to advance.
Meanwhile, England punched its ticket to the title game with a brilliant goal in the 90th minute to break a 1-1 tie against the Netherlands. Ollie Watkins came in for the legendary Harry Kane in the 81st minute, and less than 10 minutes later sent England into its second straight Euro final. He took a feed from Cole Palmer and threaded a shot between Stefan de Vrij’s legs and past Bart Verbruggen into the bottom left corner of the net.
