Inter once again showed last week in Germany that itâs a pragmatic team. Without dominating possession or taking the most shots on goal, they still managed to win 2-1.
Their tactical setup allows them to be flexible â whether itâs forming a defensive wall, controlling the tempo or striking on the counter.
In Serie A, theyâre in first place with a three-point lead over Napoli. Their march toward another Scudetto continues strong after a 3-1 home win against Cagliari last Saturday. On April 23, they'll face AC Milan in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
Manager Simone Inzaghi is expected to stick with most of the lineup that won in Munich. The only question is on the left side â whether Carlo Augusto keeps his spot or if Federico Dimarco gets the start after a strong showing against Cagliari over the weekend.
World Cup winner Lautaro MartĂnez will once again be the focal point in attack. He has seven goals in this Champions League campaign and has scored in each of his last two matches.
Bayern Munich Prediction
It looks like Bayern is on track to reclaim the Bundesliga title this year after ceding it to Bayer Leverkusen last season. They currently hold a six-point lead with five matches remaining.
Their Champions League journey, however, has been anything but smooth. Vincent Kompanyâs side finished 12th in the league phase and barely made it past Celtic in the playoffs. In the Round of 16, though, they convincingly beat Leverkusen with a 5-0 aggregate score.
Injuries have hit the squad hard. Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano have been out for an extended period, while Kingsley Coman, Aleksandar PavloviÄ and Jamal Musiala are recent additions to the list.
