Manchester City Prediction
The nightmare season continues for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. Despite spending $223 million on signings in the winter transfer window, the Citizens are 12-5-7 and sit fifth on the table, closer to the European qualification dropout than to the leaders — Liverpool.
While title ambitions may be out of City's sights, securing a Champions League spot will be key for their aspirations next season. Having narrowly secured a win over third-tier Leyton Orient in the FA Cup, Guardiola's team suffered a heartbreaking collapse letting a one-goal lead against Real Madrid slip away at home to lose 3-2 in their playoff clash.
While the Citizens have accrued four wins in their past six Premier League games, they opened February with a 5-1 defeat to Arsenal, which brought back all of the doubt.
Rodri (ACL), Bobb (broken leg) and Akanji (muscle) remain out for the clash. Grealish (groin) could be back, while Nico Gonzalez has been cleared to play after being stretched off from the Leyton Orient game.

Newcastle Prediction
Newcastle United have their swagger back this season without the extra Champions League fixture on their calendar. Eddie Howe's side has benefitted from soaring form by striker Alexander Isak, who's scored 19 goals this season across all competitions.
Excellent play by wingers Anthony Gordon and Jacob Murphy has also aided his efforts. At the same time, the return of Italian midfield maestro Sandro Tonali has given them much-missed creativity in the middle. Flying high, they sit sixth with 41 points, trailing City only on goal difference.
Newcastle arrives in Manchester having won their last four Premier League road matches, including victories against Man United (2-0), Tottenham (2-1), and Arsenal (2-0). However, a 2-1 loss to Fulham at home puts a dent in their record.

Manchester City vs. Newcastle Pick
A lot has happened since these teams met in the reverse fixture at St. James' Park in September 2024.
The record unanimously favors Guardiola's side, with just one defeat in 34 Premier League games (W27 D6). But this Manchester City isn't prime Manchester City. This is a hurting team struggling to reach the heights it once climbed.
That's the perfect context for an underdog to deliver an unexpected blow. If there's any ambition for Eddie Howe's team to break into the top six, this is when they need to deliver.
