The FA Cup provided a bright spot in Manchester United's otherwise disappointing season last year, and once again, it could serve as a much-needed lifeline. Struggling with inconsistent performances and poor results, United will hope to use this fourth-round clash against Leicester as a turning point to begin improving.

Given their history and squad quality, the Red Devils shouldn’t have any trouble securing a home win and continuing their title defense. But this team offers no guarantees. Kickoff is scheduled for Friday, February 6, at 3:00 p.m. ET at Old Trafford.

Here is my Manchester United vs. Leicester City prediction and FA Cup odds for today's match.

Manchester United Prediction

The 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace last Sunday deepened the crisis of a team that still hasn’t found its real identity. Sitting 13th in the Premier League table, they have more defeats than victories, more goals conceded than scored, and more concerns than reasons to celebrate.

One of their few bright spots is the arrival of Patrick Dorgu from Italian side Lecce. With Luke Shaw still sidelined and Lisandro Martínez facing another injury setback, left-back was a clear position of need. Dorgu could make his debut in this FA Cup clash.

Offensively, the team has become even weaker during this transfer window. Marcus Rashford has joined Aston Villa on loan, no replacement has arrived, and neither Rasmus Højlund nor Joshua Zirkzee has scored a goal in 2025.

Antony’s loan move to Real Betis won’t generate much regret, though he might not be the last to leave. Alejandro Garnacho has drawn interest from Italy, just like Kobbie Mainoo—one of the latest gems from United’s academy—who was deployed as a false nine in the last match, a desperate move that highlighted the team’s attacking struggles.

Leicester City Prediction

The situation for the shock 2015–16 Premier League champions is just as dire. Sitting in 18th place with only one win in their last 10 league matches, they are deep in the relegation zone and at serious risk of dropping back to the second division.

Despite their struggles, Leicester made very few moves in the winter transfer window. Due to financial restrictions limiting their options, their only signing was defender Woyo Coulibaly from Parma, who already made his debut in last Saturday’s 4-0 loss to Everton.

At 38 years old, Jamie Vardy remains a key figure, but relying on him for goals is a worrying sign. Bobby De Cordova-Reid and Jordan Ayew were expected to provide attacking support but have yet to make a real impact. If Leicester is to pull off an upset, they’ll need a big performance from their wide players.

Manchester United vs. Leicester City Pick

A key factor in this match will be the managers. The Foxes are hoping that Ruud van Nistelrooy—an old Manchester United legend—knows what it takes to play at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, Ruben Amorim is well aware that both the FA Cup and Europa League are his only chances to celebrate something in his first season in Manchester.

Historically and recently, United has dominated this matchup. They have already beaten Leicester twice at Old Trafford this season—a 3-0 win in the Premier League three months ago and a 5-2 victory in the EFL Cup in October. Bruno Fernandes scored three goals in those two games and has a strong chance of continuing his streak.

It’s also likely that the average number of goals will remain over 2.5 goals. Defensive weaknesses and the urgency of a knockout match, where only one team can advance, will contribute to plenty of excitement.

The best way to take advantage of this match is to combine three picks for a +200 SGP (DraftKings).
