In what could be an audition for a new manager, Manchester United hosts Norwich City on Saturday needing a victory to stay in the hunt for fourth place in the Premier League.
The Red Devils are currently in seventh place in the table, sitting six points behind Tottenham, and having only one win in their last five EPL matches.
Meanwhile, the Canaries look destined for the drop, sitting at the foot of the standings and seven points away from safety.
Historically, the series has been dominated by United over the years, but this could be the perfect time for Norwich to secure a rare win at Old Trafford.
Reports Surface About Next Man United Manager
If the reports are true, current Ajax manager Erik ten Hag is set to become the next boss at United. The young Dutch boss has impressed in a short amount of time, leading the club to the Champions League semifinal round during the 2018-19 campaign.
It will be interesting to see how the current players respond to the news, though. Will they be looking to impress the potential new manager or will it have a negative impact on the remainder of the season?
In the meantime, the Red Devils have seven fixtures left and they have to win this contest in their attempt to secure European qualification next season.
Desperate Norwich City Coming Off Key Win
For a season that hasn’t had many positives, Norwich has avoided a loss in the last two games, including a 2-0 victory over Burnley in its last outing.
Ironically, the Canaries have won back-to-back matches in their only other victories this campaign and the others have also been in the pattern of one at home and one on the road.
For this trend to continue, Norwich has to find a way to avoid the defensive issues that have it ranked toward the bottom of the English top flight in multiple categories, including xGA per 90 minutes (1.94), goals allowed (63) and opponents’ shots per match (16.13), according to fbref.com.
This doesn’t bode well going up against a side that sits top five offensively in those same metrics.

Betting Analysis & Pick
Oddsmakers at FanDuel are expecting a United victory, listing the host as the heavy -460 moneyline favorite. The total is set at 3.5 goals.
I’m not running to the window to back either of these teams, but I think there's a way to oppose two struggling offenses. So, my best bet is to play the Both Teams to Score (No) wager at -120 odds.
If you first start with the hosts, United has averaged just 0.95 xG per 90 minutes over its last four league games, while also generating only 0.8 xG in the second UCL leg against Atlético Madrid during this stretch as well.
The Red Devils' games have also been over-performing for goals, as there has been an average combined 2.48 xG in their last five league fixtures, which means this could be a spot for regression.
As for Norwich, the struggling team has only scored eight away goals all season, which is by far the worst in the league. In fact, the Canaries have been shut out in 10 of their 15 away matches and averaged just 0.75 xG per contest.
This same bet would have also cashed in 73 percent of the Norwich fixtures away from home, as well as 61 percent of all its league games on the year.
It’s a tough game to call, but there are multiple reasons why this bet shows the best value on the board for the match.
Pick: Both Teams to Score — No (-120)
