The United States men's national soccer team will face off against Mexico in Cincinnati at 9 p.m. ET in the first of two World Cup qualifying matches between the two countries.

Mexico currently tops the group with 14 points while the U.S. is in second place with 11 points. Mexico is No. 9 in FIFA's rankings while the U.S. is 13th. No other team in North or Central America are in the top 40.

The top three teams in this World Cup qualifying group will reserve themselves a spot in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The other teams include Canada, Panama, Costa Rica, Jamaica, El Salvador and Honduras.

Each team has played six games out of 14 so far.

About 72% of the money is on the U.S. to win the game outright at +170 odds, according to a BetMGM representative.

The public is also hammering these three props for Friday night's match.

USA v. Mexico Most Popular Props

  1. Both teams to score (+100)
  2. U.S. to win and both teams to score (+500)
  3. Over 2.5 goals scored in the game (+135)

Both teams have scored in four out of the U.S. national team's last 11 games.

For Mexico, both teams have scored in five of their last 11 games.

In this particular rivalry, both teams have scored in just one of the last five games.

The U.S. has won a game in which both teams have scored in just two of their last 11 matches. That implies odds of about +450, which means there might be slight value on this prop relative to the market price.

Meanwhile, for the third-most popular prop, U.S. v. Mexico games have gone over 2.5 goals in just three of their last nine matchups. This would be a no bet from me.

My pick out of these three props would be a sprinkle on the U.S. to win the game and both teams to score, though just put a quarter of a unit on it.
