World number one and Aussie Ashleigh Barty is listed as the favorite to win her home slam at +280 following the release of the main draw, in opening odds released by FanDuel.

Naomi Osaka, the two-time Australian Open champion who recently started playing on tour again following her brief absence from the sport, is the second-favorite at +600, while Iga Swiatek and Garbine Muguruza are both listed at +1100.

If both players are able to progress to the fourth round, that's where Osaka and Barty will meet. The blockbuster showdown would be great viewing for tennis fans, but it's probably not where either player would want to face the other.

Emma Raducanu, the reigning US Open champion who became the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam title in the open era and overcame major odds in doing so is listed at 30-1. Though she opened as the third-favorite to win the tournament at +650 in the fall of 2021, her odds have become much longer due to her regression in form.

It's easy to understand why that's occurred, as the teenager had an enormous weight put on her shoulders, but it has been rough sledding as of late for Radcuanu. She most recently lost to Elena Rybakina 6-0, 6-1 in the Sydney International.

There are 22 players listed with odds of 50-1 or shorter to win the tournament, and the other finalist and fellow teenager from the US Open, Leylah Fernandez, is listed at 25-1.
