The Wimbledon final has arrived in the ladies draw, as Barbora Krejcikova and Jasmine Paolini have put up matching Cinderella runs to set up an intriguing Wimbledon final.

Krejcikova has a Grand Slam title in her pocket, having won the French Open in 2021. She's also a seven-time women's doubles Slam champion and a three-time mixed doubles Slam champion.

Paolini has been on a tear in 2024, winning a Masters title in Dubai and reaching the final of the French Open.

With odds lined near pick 'em range, this Wimbledon final could be an amazing one.

Here are our experts' Wimbledon predictions ahead of Krejcikova vs Paolini.

Krejcikova vs Paolini Picks

Jon Reid: What a path to the final for both these women. Paolini's never-say-die attitude has been on full display. She's been on the brink of defeat twice against big servers and powerful ball strikers. She managed to get fortunate with a retirement in one, then won a third-set tiebreak in the other after generating far fewer break chances.

This matchup isn't the worst for Paolini. Her toughest tests were against players who could out hit her and find easier holds of serve, and I'm not sure that's Krejcikova. Not to mention, Krejcikova's strengths are working the ball around the court, and that's one thing that shouldn't bother the quick Italian.

For me, there's a bit of value in betting Paolini as the underdog. She's in much better form, is playing the most balanced game we've seen her play and matches up decently against this type of opponent.

Pick: Paolini ML (+114 via FanDuel)

David Gertler: Barbora Krejcikova came back to defeat Elena Rybakina, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, in the Wimbledon semifinals. After getting overwhelmed with Rybakina’s pace early on, the Czech eventually settled in. She spread the court well and utilized her variety efficiently.

Krejcikova will face Jasmine Paolini, who also recovered from a set down to beat Donna Vekic, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(8). Vekic overpowered Paolini early, but the Italian’s movement on grass, rally tolerance and fitness allowed her to hang around and wear Vekic down.

Krejcikova is 8-2 this season on grass and boasts a 19-11 career record on the surface. Paolini has an 8-1 mark on grass in 2024, evening her record to 14-14 on the surface as a professional.

Ultimately, despite Paolini’s improvements on grass, Krejcikova is the better player on the surface and has proven she has what it takes to get over the finish line at a Major, as she did at the 2021 French Open.

The Czech, with her seven Slam doubles titles, is stronger at the net. She has the better placed, more powerful serve and should be able to jump all over Paolini’s weaker serve.

In addition, Krejcikova’s placement, point construction and variety are better than Paolini’s. She hits with sharp angles so well, which should be particularly successful against Paolini and her limited reach.

In addition, Krejcikova’s slices should keep the ball out of the Italian’s strike zone.

It’s been a great tournament for Paolini, but she lacks the skill set necessary to lift the Venus Rosewater Dish in this matchup.

Pick: Krejcikova ML (-137 via FanDuel)
