Slighted by tournament organizers, Jannik Sinner and Jack Draper will play the first US Open semifinal of the day on Arthur Ashe despite receiving less rest than the other two players to reach this stage.

The two young stars have looked dominant throughout the tournament, winning their matches with relative ease, and they have set up an a tantalizing match that we will likely see plenty of in the future.

Can Sinner's experience shine through here and take him to a first US Open final, or does the run of Draper's life have some life left in it?

Let's get into the best way to bet on Sinner vs Draper in Friday's US Open semifinal.

Sinner Battling Through Challenges

The World No. 1 entered this tournament with his fair share of question marks both on and off the court. The hip that he injured back in the early summer appeared to be hampering him just days before the US Open when he won the Cincinnati Masters, and as we prepared for the draw news broke of a positive doping test earlier in the season.

After dropping his first set of the tournament, it appeared all doubt was erased. The Italian breezed past the competition before recovering a from double-break a deficit against Tommy Paul to win in three sets and topping familiar foe Daniil Medvedev in four.

Paul's serve certainly let him down against Sinner, as did Medvedev's, so it should be said that Sinner has yet to face a viable threat through the first five matches he's played here. Despite his ranking, Draper should be the toughest test yet.

Draper Delivering on Potential

Draper is finally delivering on his sky-high potential he teased us with for two years, working hard to make gains in the fitness department and showing off the fruits of his labor here at the US Open, where he's once again improved upon his result in the year prior. Draper was forced to retire in just his third match during his tournament debut in 2022, and after an impressive run to the fourth round here last year ran out of gas against Andrey Rublev.

Now into the top 20 for the first time in his career, Draper will carry confidence and plenty of rest into this match against Sinner. He's made it through five matches without dropping a set, a figure that's due to his overwhelming service numbers. The Brit has only been broken three times, and he's won a tournament-high 83% of points behind his first delivery.

The only real knock on Draper over the last two years has been his body, which has let him down time and time again. He can do just about everything on the tennis court at an elite level, including closing in on the net quickly and volleying with excellence. That should make him a tricky opponent for Sinner to play for essentially the first time, though they did meet on grass three seasons ago which was a straight-sets win for Draper.

Sinner vs Draper Pick

You always have to talk about where both players are mentally when handicapping tennis, and in the case of Draper, he won't be fearful of Sinner. The two are almost the same age and came up the ranks at the same time, and when both were 19 it was Draper who took it to the then undeveloped Italian.

He should draw plenty from that match, considering he's in a better place himself, and his style of play should pose some serious issues for Sinner.

The common theme in both of his last two matches has been the net. Paul and Medvedev saw a clear advantage there, coming forward over 60 times in total, and each of them won over 60% of points at net. Now, he'll face one of the best net players in the world and a man who's won a ton of points behind the serve-and-volley.

This, on top of a much better serve than Sinner's had to deal with in recent matches, should give Draper a shot here and keep the margins razor thin. I like this bet up to -150, after which I'd probably look to the over as an alternative.

Pick: Draper +2.5 sets (-140 via BetMGM)
