Novak Djokovic vs Daniil Medvedev will meet in the 2023 US Open final after the Russian upset World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals.
Medvedev won their last meeting, beating Djokovic in Dubai earlier this year, and also beat Djokovic in the 2021 US Open final, but Djokovic is, understandably, a heavy favorite.
He comes in as a -235 favorite over Medvedev. When the pair met in the 2021 US Open final, he was a -270 favorite.
Djokovic got past American Ben Shelton in a straight-sets victory, but it wasn't entirely smooth-sailing for the 23-time Grand Slam champion.
After taking a quick first two sets 6-3, 6-2, Shelton fought back from a break down twice and took Djokovic to a tiebreaker, where the Serbian prevailed.
He also opted to go for Shelton's signature "Dialed in" celebration after the win.
