Week 8 USFL Picks

Devin Ross Under 39.5 Rec Yards

Panthers-Stars | Noon ET on Sunday

Last week, I targeted Devin Ross' under 38.5 receiving yards, and he finished just short with 35. It was a stressful cover considering he had a 32-yard catch and run early in the game.

I'm sticking with this prop again this week, as my reasoning stays the same. Ross' production should take a dip after the Panthers released Shea Patterson, and their quarterback room will be inconsistent with Love and Lynch under center the rest of the way.

I'm projecting Ross closer to 28.5 receiving yards.

Confidence Rating: 8 out of 10

Bo Scarbrough Over 67.5 Rush Yards

Breakers-Stallions | 3 p.m. ET on Saturday

Scarbrough has become the Derrick Henry of the USFL, racking up 16 and 27 carries over the past two games. Birmingham will likely lean on the run game more this week, with top wideout Victor Bolden and top tight end Cary Angeline expected to miss Week 8.

I'm projecting Scarbrough closer to 80 rush yards.

Confidence Rating: 8 out of 10

Jordan Ta’amu Over 24.5 Rush Yards

Gamblers-Bandits | 4 p.m. ET on Sunday

Ta'amu is arguably the best dual-threat QB in the league. He has also cleared this number in five of the last six games. He's a good bet to see 6-8 rush attempts, which should be enough to get him over this number.

I'm projecting him closer to 32.5 rush yards.

Confidence Rating: 8 out of 10

Derrick Dillon Over 27.5 Rec Yards

Gamblers-Bandits | 4 p.m. ET on Sunday

Dillon is coming off a 1/15/0 dud in Week 7. However, he saw five targets and continues to be one of Ta'amu's favorite weapons. Dillon is a good bet to run a route on 70-80% of Ta'amu's dropbacks this week, which is a great buy-low opportunity for this prop.

I'm projecting Dillon closer to 37.5 receiving yards.

Confidence Rating: 8 out of 10

Josh Love Under 160.5 Pass Yards

Panthers-Stars | Noon ET on Sunday

Josh Love took every snap in Week 7 despite Paxton Lynch (ankle) being active. There is a good chance we see Lynch in action this week, which hurts Love's chances of clearing this number.

I'm projecting the Panthers offense to throw for 155 yards, which means even if Love plays the entire game, I lean under. But if he concedes just 15-20% of snaps to Lynch, he could finish well under.

I'm projecting him closer to 130.5 passing yards.

Confidence Rating: 7 out of 10
