Week 9 USFL Picks
Jordan Ta’amu Over 175.5 Passing Yards
It's a must-win game for the Bandits and I expect a pass-heavy game script, considering they are 3.5-point underdogs. I'm projecting Ta'amu closer to 205.5 passing yards.
Confidence Rating: 7 out of 10
Cheyenne O’Grady Over 27.5 Receiving Yards
Backup tight end De'Quan Hampton was a healthy scratch last week, which resulted in O'Grady running a route on 85% of Ta'amu's dropbacks, though he was only able to post a 4/18/0 receiving line. The Bandits only needed to attempt 21 passes in an easy 13-3 win over the Gamblers. I expect a much more pass-heavy game script against the Breakers and O'Grady will benefit. I'm projecting him closer to 40.5 receiving yards and this prop correlates nicely with the Ta'amu over.
Confidence Rating: 7 out of 10
Matt Colburn II Over 49.5 Rushing Yards
Backup Darnell Holland has been ruled out, meaning it'll be Matt Colburn & Paul Terry as the only healthy backs this week. Terry is returning from an ankle injury, so there is a chance he will only be able to handle a handful of carries. Colburn could see a massive workload this week, considering the Stars are 8.5-point favorites over the Maulers. I'm projecting him closer to 59.5 rushing yards.
Confidence Rating: 7 out of 10
Lance Lenoir Under 50.5 Receiving Yards
The Panthers quarterback situation is a complete mess right now. They cut their first overall pick, Shea Patterson, a few weeks ago. This week, they are benching Paxton Lynch, despite backup quarterback Josh Love dealing with an arm injury. If Love can't play through his arm injury, we will see fourth-string Eric Barriere under center.
Lance Lenoir's production will likely take a hit from all of the volatility at the quarterback position. Plus, the Generals are a run-heavy team that should be able to dominate the time of possession. As a result, I'm projecting Lenoir closer to 41.5 receiving yards.
Confidence Rating: 7 out of 10
Isiah Hennie Under 39.5 Receiving Yards
Hennie has cleared this number in two of the past three games. However, the Maulers are one of the trickiest teams to project as they shuffle up their receiver rotation weekly. I'm projecting Hennie closer to 30.5 receiving yards.
