Former WNBA MVPs highlight the top of the oddsboard to take home the award in 2022 on the night the season will begin.
The regular season opens up on Friday with Las Vegas Aces forward A'Ja Wilson the +300 betting favorite to win the award. She's going for the second MVP of her career, as she won in 2020 as well. Wilson leads the Aces, who enter the year as the title favorites.
Seattle Storm forward and 2018 MVP Breanna Stewart (+400) is just ahead of reigning MVP Jonquel Jones (+425) for the slot right behind Wilson on the board. Stewart averaged 20 points and nearly nine rebounds per game last season. Jones won the 2021 MVP with averages of 19 points and 11 rebounds per game.
The only other player with single-digit odds is Dallas Wings star Arike Ogunbowale. Ogunbowale made her first All-Star Game in 2021 with averages of 18 points and three assists per game while making 37.6% of her 3-point attempts. Her scoring was actually down from 22.8 points per game in 2020.
Washington Mystics star Elena Delle Donne has played in just three games in the last two seasons but is hoping to return to her usual elite level. That level won her the MVP award in 2019, her last full season. She's +1200 to win it again in 2022.
