Atlanta Dream: A Struggling Offense
The Atlanta Dream just had a two-game set against the Washington Mystics and split them both.
They remain tied with both the Mystics and the Sky, but the Dream currently are last in the tiebreaker and are the 10th seed. A win over the Sky would instantly give them the final playoff spot.
Despite splitting the last two games, the offense for the Dream has been abysmal. They scored only one field goal the entire second quarter in their loss to Washington and followed it up with a win, only scoring 76 points.
It will certainly be a defense-first effort for Tina Charles and the Dream.
Chicago Sky: Hobbling Into Tonight
The Chicago Sky has been plummeting in the WNBA standings since both the return from the Olympic break and then again when the injury bug hit.
Diamond DeShields and Angel Reese will be out for this game, and while Chennedy Carter has re-entered the lineup as the team's leading scorer, the team around her is not scoring well.
Reese provided a ton of extra possessions, and DeShields provided another scoring punch. Without these two, I expect the Sky to continue to struggle to reach 75.
