Indiana has covered five straight games and won six of their last nine, but now faces a Seattle team that is fresh off an impressive win over the Connecticut Sun. Seattle won both of the previous matchups against the Fever back in May. In both games, Seattle was a 5-5.5 point favorite, but they only covered the second time. Here we see them as an 8-8.5 point home favorite.

A full look into the WNBA odds as we make a Fever vs. Storm pick.

Indiana Fever

Indiana has had a recent burst of offensive success, averaging 89.6 points per game in their last five games. Yet upon closer evaluation, you can see that playing the middle of the pack defenses of the Dream, Sky and Mystics might have something to do with that bump in production. They are also headed into their third straight road game, against the third best defense in the league. But if Indiana brings anything to the table it’s offense.

The Fever have also hit eight straight overs and are now 14-4 to the over. Both times these teams played this season, the over hit (with total scores of 168 and 191) and yet again we see this total set at 167.5.

I also like an over on Caitlin Clark’s points and assists prop as it is set at just 23.5 and she went over that handily in both matchups vs the Storm this season. She’s averaging 6.5 assists and 16.3 points per game, but tallied up 20+ points and 7+ assists in her last games vs Seattle. The Storm are smart, seasoned, and well-coached so they may have a better answer for her this time, but I think Clark clears this total again.

Seattle Storm

Seattle loves to play fast, which is impressive to pull off alongside a stalwart defense. In fact, Seattle ranks third in possessions per 40 minutes, which lends itself to an over. Their offense has only struggled to score against the other top defenses: New York, Minnesota, and Connecticut. Meanwhile, the Fever’s dead last defense took another hit this week as the team waived Celeste Taylor, 2024 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year. Needless to say, the Storm’s well-balanced offense should have plenty of options to score.

Betting Pick & Prediction

These are two of the best teams ATS this season, who both had four days of rest to prepare for this matchup. Seattle will push the pace, Indiana will try to keep up, and the Storm’s far superior defense should lock in a win straight up and against the spread.

Pick: Storm -8 | Over 166.5 (FanDuel) | Caitlin Clark 23.5 Points and Assists -130 (FanDuel)
