The Indiana Fever host the Las Vegas Aces at 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 11. The game can be seen live on NBA TV, but before you tune in, be sure to read my Aces vs. Fever prediction below.
The Aces are currently 4-point favorites on the spread against Caitlin Clark and the Fever, with the over/under set at 180 points scored. I break down why I'm backing the Aces on the road in this one with A'ja Wilson washing away the worries of fans in her plans to be in the starting lineup.
Which brings me to my Aces vs. Fever pick for Las Vegas to win and cover the spread in this matchup.

Aces vs. Fever Prediction
Monitoring early line movement is a great way to get indications about injury reports in the WNBA as the reporting and sources are more scarce in this league.
With Wilson playing, we can get Aces below -4.5, and that's a line I plan to take.

Fever vs. Aces Preview
Las Vegas Aces: Wilson Officially A Go
Despite being the back-to-back WNBA defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces find themselves in a seeding race for home-court advantage in the 4 vs. 5 matchup of the playoffs.
Currently, the Aces are one game up on the Seattle Storm, so each game takes on more importance. Where things get tricky for the Aces is that despite wanting to win and prioritize playoff position, their star player and soon to be named 2024 WNBA MVP, A'ja Wilson, missed the last game vs. the Liberty and was even seen in a walking boot. That could be out of an abundance of caution as she isn't listed on their injury report for this matchup with the Fever, but it is something to watch. With Wilson set to play, I want to back the Aces as soon as the news drops. I expect the line would move to -4.5 and would play it at anything -4 or better.
The Las Vegas Aces have reported NO injuries ahead of their game against Indiana on Wednesday.
So, it's safe to expect A'ja Wilson back in uniform for the Aces after she missed Sunday's contest with the Liberty (her first missed game since 2019).

Indiana Fever: Fade the Fever
While the Fever have been the league's best team improvement story this season, I think this is the perfect time to fade them. The Fever are basically locked into the 6th seed and are going to be back in the playoffs for the first time in the past five years.
On that note, the recent play has seemed a bit sloppy, ever since the playoff positioning was locked up. The Fever played miserable defense against the Sparks and relied on a Caitlin Clark masterpiece to beat one of the leagues worst teams, and then got handled by the Lynx. This is another spot where the Fever will need to be very sharp, and since they are coming in quite lackluster, I think we should keep fading them.
Aces vs. Fever Picks: Bet the Champs to Cover
Kelsey Mitchell is a strong candidate to score 18+ points, with odds of -110. A’ja Wilson, given her MVP-caliber season, is also a good bet to score 25+ points, with odds of -120.
Against the spread, the Aces are 5-0-0 in their last five games and 4-1-0 on two days’ rest. The Fever, meanwhile, are 3-2-0 ATS in their last five games and 2-3-0 on two days’ rest. These trends suggest that the Aces have a slight edge, especially with Wilson confirmed to play.
Aces vs. Fever Pick: Aces -4
