Fever vs. Storm
Boston hasn't gotten this over once in four games this season. Not once.
The reigning Rookie of the Year is off to a slow start, as his her Fever squad, and her rebounding will probably bounce back in due time, I can't bring myself to go over 8.5 here.
The Storm are 1-3 so far, and this is a team with expectations who many thought had a shot at being the third best team in the league this year — that has yet to play out.
This feels like a bounce back spot for the Storm, even as the Fever are 0-4, largely because the Storm are back home for just the second time this season.
Despite their 1-3 start, the Storm are second in rebounds and third per 100 possessions. Their opponents are fourth to last, and thus far, Indy has the second fewest boards per 100 possessions.
Pick: Aaliyah Boston under 8.5 rebounds
Fever vs. Storm
It’s scary taking an under with the Indiana Fever considering they’re the worst defense in the league by a pretty massive margin. They own a 115.1 Defensive Rating through four games, which is barely 10-points per 100 possessions within the Phoenix Mercury who own the next worst defense (105.2 through three games).
The Fever offense just so happens to be the worst (92 Offensive Rating), second only to their opponent, the Seattle Storm (87.1) who also happen to have the third-best defense. Nneka Ogwumike is questionable and she would obviously help the Storm offense under normal circumstances, but it will probably take a game or two for her to get her bearings offensively. She’s also a great defender, which helps our under as well.
Take the under down to 163.
