It's a perfect night for a standalone game in the WNBA.
Wednesday's slate in the W features just one game — Mercury vs Wings — but the lack of matchups doesn't mean there's a lack of betting value.
Our WNBA staff came through with two player props for Wednesday's game, including picks for Arike Ogunbowale and Kahleah Copper.

Mercury vs. Wings
By Joe Dellera
Arike Ogunbowale should find success scoring the basketball against the Phoenix Mercury.
She's averaging 23.7 points per game on the season and has exceeded this line in 61% of her games.
Looking at this direct matchup, though, she has averaged a whopping 28.3 PPG against the Mercury over the past few seasons while exceeding 22.5 points in eight of her nine head-to-head matchups against Phoenix.
The Mercury play at the third-fastest pace in the league and the Wings play at the sixth-fastest, so there will be plenty of opportunities and possessions for Ogunbowale to get to the hoop.
Pick: Arike Ogunbowale Over 22.5 Points
Although there’s only one game in the W on Wednesday night, it’s a matchup that should have plenty of fireworks.
The total has already been bet up five points to 170.5 after opening at 165.5. After all, both the Wings and Mercury combined to score at least 187 points in each of their two previous meetings.
Any time you miss a move on the total, you can often still find some correlated derivative value in the player props market.
Phoenix’s Kahleah Copper is one player my sights are set on. She could thrive in a contest the market projects to be a high-scoring affair.
Since Copper is the Mercury’s leading scorer (21.8 points per game), we can expect her to get her share of touches. The nine-year veteran is a tremendous slasher known for getting buckets inside the lane.
Dallas has the second-worst defensive rating (107.5) in the league, and it’s dead last in paint points allowed per game (40.0).
Thus, it’s unsurprising that the Rutgers product has averaged 30.5 points in two games against the Wings.
BetMGM lists Copper’s scoring prop at 20.5 points, and that number feels short in what could be a back-and-forth type of game with plenty of points.
