Bryan Fonseca's Sun vs. Liberty Same Game Parlay
Both games between these three went similarly — they went under 159.5 points, and the Liberty won. The Liberty haven't lost since July 6 and are now 4-0 since returning to action after the Olympics.
The Sun are only 2-1 during that timeframe, and barely escaped with a 82-80 win on Friday, putting them on the second half of a road back-to-back this Saturday in Brooklyn.
The Liberty have 82-74, 82-75 and 71-68 wins over Connecticut this year — all 157 and under.
On FanDuel, they have some moneyline + total points parlays already built in, and I'm opting for a simple one which is a bit safer than the listed total of 157.5, in the event the Liberty light up the Sun today, who are great defensively, but have allowed 81 and 92 in two of their last three, and surrendered 82 against New York on July 16.
Pick: Liberty ML + Under 159 (+120)
Bryan Fonseca's Sun vs. Liberty Best Bet
The Liberty have led all first quarters against the Connecticut Sun by five or more points — including two by double digits. Now, we have the Sun on the second of a back to back.
The Liberty had a one-day rest advantage in each of their last two outings against the Sun and covered their first quarter line. Even on June 8, they were up 10 after the first quarter despite a two-day rest disadvantage.
The Liberty haven't lost since July 6, they're in much better form, they're home, and they have a rest advantage against a worse offensive team.
Pick: Liberty 1Q -2.5 (-111)
Michael Fiddle's Fever vs. Lynx Best Bet
This is a strong under for two reasons. First is, sadly, Lynx point guard Courtney Williams went down in the fourth quarter of Friday night's game against the Aces, and missed the remainder of the contest with a non-contact knee injury.
Williams eventually returned to the bench, not just remaining in the locker room the entire time. But with a second game scheduled in just as many days, I wouldn't be surprised to see her sit this one out after that fall, which should make the total drop.
The Lynx are also one of the best defensive teams and a secondary cap I am looking at is playing unders when the Lynx are being faded in the point spread market. The theory is that their defense shows up if the offense is lackluster. Here, the spread is moving towards the Fever and total is dropping, so I am grabbing the under for a full unit.
