Mystics vs. Fever

Over 167

By Bryan Fonseca

The Indiana Fever and the Washington Mystics have some recent similarities.

The Mystics comes into this game having beaten the Atlanta Dream and the Chicago Sky on June 11 and June 14, and the Fever beat the same two on June 13 and June 16.

The Mystics are on a two-game winning streak after losing 12 straight, including a prior home loss to the Fever by two.

The Fever have won four of six as their schedule finally lightens up.

The Fever have the league's most ineffective defense statistically, and the Mystics are in the league's bottom half. Neither rank high offensively, but both are averaging around 85 points across each of their last four games.

They combined for 168 last time they met, and this feels like it'll be closer to that than a slog.

Pick: Over 167

Storm vs. Aces

Aces -6.5

By Adam Green

This figures to be a fun matchup. Given that these teams are No. 1 and No. 2 in the league in offensive pace, it figures to be a higher-scoring affair — or at least one with plenty of shot attempts.

The question is whether or not Las Vegas' stars will be enough to counter Seattle's balance and depth.

Interestingly enough, DraftKings expects the Aces to win this game, with Vegas giving Seattle 6.5 points.

Is it not wanting to bet against A'ja Wilson, who's arguably the best player in the league? Maybe the return of Chelsea Gray is expected to provide a boost, as she hasn't played since suffering a lower left leg injury during Game 3 of last year's Finals.

Everything is setting up for the Aces to look more like the team that won last year's title than the one that's sputtered along here early in the season.

Now healthy, they have the kind of roster that can give Seattle trouble.

Pick: Aces -6.5
