The Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty meeting in the WNBA Finals was destiny.

The Aces — after winning the WNBA Finals in 2022 — reloaded their roster and formed a super team. The Liberty built around superstar Sabrina Ionescu to build a superteam of their own.

The two will go head-to-head for all of the marbles with Game 1 of the WNBA Finals on Sunday.

The Aces opened the season at +130 to win the WNBA Finals. They are currently -210 to take the trophy.

New York's odds have actually gotten worse despite playing in the finals. The Liberty were +150 before the season and they are now +170 to win the series.

We will focus on Game 1, which has the Aces favored by 4.5 points at home. The line opened at Aces -5.5 at BetMGM.

The public is split down the middle for Game 1 as the Liberty are getting 51% of the bets while the Aces are getting 49% of the bets. The money, however, is favoring the Liberty as they account for 68% of the handle.

The total opened at 172.5 and is down to 171.5. The over is getting 45% of the bets and accounts for 61% of the handle.

This will be the Liberty's first WNBA Finals appearance since 2003. While the Aces are making their third Finals appearance in the last four years. The Liberty are trying to win the city's first basketball championship since the New York Knicks did it back in 1973.
