Sparks 1H (+6) vs. Storm
3:30 p.m. ET ⋅ WNBA League Pass
The Seattle Storm have had the best defense in the last month or so, and I'm sure being at home pretty much the whole time helps with that. But this is a funny game for me.
The Los Angeles Sparks don't have the best record and don't have the best team overall, but they're pretty good in the first half. What the Sparks have going for them is they don't have anyone.
And want to know a fun fact about Cameron Brink? She's still fifth in blocks even though she hasn't played in over a month.
Liberty Sabrina Ionescu Over 6 Rebounds vs. Sun
7 p.m. ET ⋅ WNBA League Pass
By Maria Marino
I like the fact that Sabrina Ionescu had five rebounds in her last matchup against the Connecticut Sun. She's certainly capable of grabbing six rebounds, especially when looking at her usage.
She tends to play almost the entire game, and if it's a tight game, it's going to be harder for Sandy Brondello to rest her against this Sun team.
I like Ionescu over in the rebounds department, more specifically at six-plus. If Breanna Stewart is out — and it's trending that way — I may jump on that bet.
Sky 7.5 in 1H at Aces
10 p.m. ET ⋅ WNBA League Pass
Not to sound like a broken record, but I'm looking at the Chicago Sky in the first half. This is another example of two teams that are kind of opposites.
The Sky are 14-7-2 in the first half but only 9-14 against the spread for the full game. Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Aces are 8-15-1 against the spread in the first half but 10-13 for the full game.
Some of those Vegas games were without Chelsea Gray, who's a massive presence and has transformed the team since her return from injury.
It may not be easy, but I don't think it's out of the question that the Sky could cover in the first half and finally crater in the second half.
The Sky had a great first quarter the last time they went up against the Aces, and the cratering almost happened in the second quarter when the Aces came back and they ended up not covering the spread.
