Since the return from the extended All-Star and Paris Olympics break, there have been two players who have performed at an MVP level: Caitlin Clark and A’ja Wilson.
Tonight, Clark and Wilson face off as the Indiana Fever host the Las Vegas Aces. Which of these two players will help lead their team to a win?
Below, find out why I'm high on the over for both Wilson’s points against Indiana and Kamilla Cardoso’s rebounds in the Mystics vs. Sky game. So, without further ado, here's WNBA player props for Wednesday.
Andrew Norton's WNBA Player Props for Wednesday, Sept. 11
- A’ja Wilson Over 26.5 Points (-115, Caesars)
- Kamilla Cardoso Over 10.5 Rebounds (-130, Caesars)
In two games against the Fever this season, Wilson hasn't disappointed. She's posted 28 and 29 points while shooting 62.5% from the floor on 20 field goal attempts per game.
The volume is great, the efficiency is great and lastly, the matchup is great.
The Fever have been one of the better teams in the W over the past month; however, they're still poor on the defensive end of the floor.
In fact, the Fever rank 11th in defensive rating, opponent points per game and opponent second-chance points. They're eighth in opponent field goal percentage and 10th in opponent 3-point percentage this season, too.
Further, Wilson has been on a tear, averaging nearly 32 points per game over her past five outings and clearing this line (26.5) three times.
This is the perfect matchup: Las Vegas and Indiana are two of the most fast-paced teams in the league, which will result in more possessions and scoring opportunities for Wilson.
Consider also sprinkling a little on “Wilson to score 35+ points” at +425 on DraftKings.
Pick: A’ja Wilson Over 26.5 Points (-115)
Cardoso’s rebounding numbers have fluctuated throughout the season due to the consistent dominance that Angel Reese has showed on the glass.
Reese leads the W in rebounding average with 13.1 per game; however, she's set to miss the remainder of the season due to a wrist injury.
Without Reese, Cardoso will have to be an even more commanding presence on the boards than usual, as this will be the only way to keep the Sky in games and give them a chance to make the postseason.
In Cardoso’s first game without Reese this season, she finished with 11 rebounds against Dallas in just 31 minutes of play.
Expect a similar result with Cardoso going up against the Mystics, a team that ranks 11th in rebounds per game and rebounding percentage and will also be without their starting center, Shakira Austin.
