A new month is here and so is the day of Game 2's of the WNBA Playoffs semifinals. As the league ushers in the month of October, the Liberty and Sun have their sights set on going up 2-0 in their respective series. At 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN 2, the defending champs, the Las Vegas Aces, plan to shake up the scene to steal a game in Brooklyn to avoid going down a 0-2 hole against the New York Liberty before heading back to their home floor.

The Minnesota Lynx look for redemption in front of their home crowd after letting Game 1 slip from their grasp against the Connecticut Sun. In a 9:30 p.m. ET matchup, the Lynx seek to even up the playing field in hopes of going 1-1 with Game 2 set to tip off on ESPN 2.

Our experts provide their picks and best bets for the Game 2 doubleheader ahead for Tuesday night. Continue below for our WNBA best bets for Tuesday, October 1.

Joe Dellera's Player Prop for Aces vs. Liberty

Kelsey Plum 17+ Points

We cashed at over 15.5 last game and I see no reason not to bet this again even with the bump. She has crushed in this matchup against the Liberty as they really lock in on defending A'ja Wilson.

Plum has exceeded this line in 11/15 games against the Aces over the last few seasons and she's scored 20+ in 8/15 now after Game 1's 24 point performance.

Plum is so fast and able to capitalize on the smallest gaps in coverage, and that is one area that the Liberty's guards can struggle.

Pick: Kelsey Plum 17+ Points

Bryan Fonseca's Player Prop Bet for Sun vs. Lynx

Brionna Jones Under 8.5 Points

Brionna Jones has been limited to just four, eight, and six in the playoffs while logging 26, 14 and 18 minutes. I mentioned this in my preview for this game — the Sun's focused half of it — and I like Jones' under trend to continue.

Over her career, she has averaged 2 or more points per game in the regular season than in the playoffs.

This year, the drop off is from 13.7 to 6.0, and she hasn't played more than 18 minutes since Game 1 against the Indiana Fever. She is seemingly getting phased out offensively, and it doesn't appear she's that essential either in this series — all due respect.

Pick: Brionna Jones Under 8.5 Points

Braxton Reynolds' Player Prop Pick for Sun vs. Lynx

Alanna Smith 2+ Blocks (+100)

Connecticut's offense ranks 2nd in paint attempt rate but 10th in 3-point attempt rate. That shot profile encourages plenty of block opportunities for opponents. Alanna Smith reached two blocks in both regular season matchups against the Sun, and she racked up five during Minnesota's Game 1 loss. Getting her at even money to once again accomplish this feat is good value.

Pick: Alanna Smith 2+ Blocks (+100)

Bryan Fonseca's First Half Bet for Sun vs. Lynx

Minnesota Lynx -2.5 1H

Feels like most people will want the Lynx to cover the game. I feel better about the first half, at least, out of respect for the Sun and their elite defense.

Last game, the Lynx trailed at halftime, largely due to a 23-16 first quarter deficit. But in Game 2, you would think we'd get more shooting balance than the Sun doubling up the Lynx in terms of three-point percentage, 40-20.

I like the Lynx here in the first half, and they should win the Game 2, but if the Sun rip up the script, we could be heading toward a sweep, which would be surprising considering how many of us think this should be a five gamer, or dangerously close.

Pick: Minnesota Lynx -2.5 1H
