Liberty vs. Aces
The Liberty and Aces have been the two best first-half teams in the WNBA this regular season with +11.4 and +8.1 Net Ratings, respectively. In the playoffs, the Aces are -5.1 before halftime, while the Liberty have improved to +13.3.
New York has covered both home games against the Aces so far, but failed to cover Game 3 in Las Vegas.
Historically, Game 3s are a great spot for the home team down 0-2 and still the Aces barely covered the 2.5-point first-half line by half a point. Las Vegas blew the game open in the third quarter, allowing New York to score just six points, but the Liberty won the final frame 26-22. I expect the Liberty to come out firing after getting punched in the mouth in Game 3.
Pick: Liberty 1H +1.5
Lynx vs. Sun
DeWanna Bonner has scored 15 or more points in four of five playoff games, hitting at least two threes in every single instance.
She's scored 15 or more points in 26 games out of 45 this year, including the postseason, and has accompanied that with at least two made threes in the vast majority of those performances.
The Sun are in a do-or-die game where they will desperately need Bonner's creativity on offense, and they're gonna have to lean on her early and often in Game 4 to keep their season going. Bonner to score 15+ points (-105) parlayed with Bonner 2+ three pointers (-112) pays out +134 at FanDuel.
Pick: DeWanna Bonner to Score 15+ Points (-105)
Lynx vs. Sun
By Joe Dellera
This is a win or go home game for the Sun, and I expect to see a tighter rotation with their best players getting extended run.
Carrington has seen max-minutes throughout this series, playing 40, 31, and 33 in the first three matchups. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her play 35+ on Sunday.
When she has played at least 30 minutes this season, she has averaged 20.6 points + rebounds and has exceeded this line (17.5) in 87% of games. If we get up to 33 minutes, it’s 92% with the only miss ringing in at 17.
This is an excellent spot to back Carrington, who is an absolute menace on the defensive end of the floor, while she also contributes as an adept scoring threat. I’ll grab her to exceed 17.5 points + rebounds.
Pick: DiJonai Carrington Over 17.5 PTS+REB (-130)
Lynx vs. Sun
Game 3 was the first time that a team scored 20 points in all four quarters against the Sun.
Game 4 is supposed to be the defensive-led, bounce back spot. The caveat is, the Lynx shot just 5-for-15 from three, but then again, they blistered the Connecticut frontcourt with a 30-for-46 shooting display from two-point range — good for about 65% inside the arc.
The Sun have held the Lynx under this mark twice this series and allowed 23 last time out. We'll roll with that being the outlier.
