The New York Liberty won Game 1 — 87-77 — largely due to Breanna Stewart's 34 points on 12-of-19 shooting. Game 2 between the Liberty and Aces takes place Tuesday, October 1 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

Keep reading for my WNBA same-game parlay for Aces vs Liberty Game 2.

WNBA Same-Game Parlay for Aces vs Liberty Game 2

  • Liberty 1st Quarter Moneyline (-135)
  • Jackie Young 14+ Points (-105)

Parlay Odds: +230 on DraftKings

Liberty 1st Quarter Moneyline (-135)

New York led the league with a 16.9 first quarter net rating this season. For context, Las Vegas’ 3.3 net rating came in third — that’s how dominant New York was at opening games.

The Liberty’s elite starting lineup torched the Aces in Game 1 and produced a superb 1.276 points per possession across 29 possessions, via Synergy Sports.

Las Vegas needs A’ja Wilson to be in two places at once guarding both Stewart and Jonquel Jones, but New York's outside shooting range makes playing the gaps impossible for Wilson.

Sabrina Ionescu also got to her spots at will, a red flag for the Aces’ defense. Finally, the fact that Betnijah Laney-Hamilton and Leonie Fiebich both pass at a high level means New York can routinely get quality shots and exploit mismatches.

On the other end, New York sagged off of Kiah Stokes and made it a priority to protect the interior against Wilson. It worked. The Liberty held the MVP to 16 shot attempts.

Overall, the Liberty’s opening lineup poses too many issues. I like them to once again take the first quarter, where they are 3-1 against Las Vegas this year.

Because it’s not a 3-way market, a first-quarter tie will be graded as a push in the parlay.

Jackie Young 14+ Points (-105)

The Aces’ guards will be the key to their offensive success in this matchup. Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young both must knock down triples, create off the bounce and alternate as high-volume scorers in order to ease defensive pressure on Wilson.

It’s a superior matchup for Plum, but I expect New York to appropriately adjust after her 24-point explosion in Game 1. That should leave more opportunities for Young, who managed a considerable 16 field goal attempts during the opener.

Young’s 3-point shooting, in particular, gives her a rapid progression path to 14 points.

Look for Young to get plenty of volume with New York focusing on stopping Wilson and Plum.
