The reigning back-to-back champs Las Vegas Aces face elimination against the New York Liberty. Fortunately, Las Vegas has two consecutive home games to try to close the gap.

Check out my WNBA same-game parlay for this Liberty vs Aces Game 3 matchup.

Alysha Clark First Aces Basket (+750)

Las Vegas benched Kiah Stokes after a poor Game 1 performance and replaced her with Alysha Clark. The veteran did not disappoint. She scored 13 points while going 3-of-7 from deep and dished out two assists.

Clark offers more flexibility in general than Stokes, and she’s a superior outside shooter. Given New York’s elite interior defense, Las Vegas needs its perimeter threats to open up the court and ease some of the pressure off MVP A’ja Wilson.

Clark has taken Las Vegas’ first shot in 5-of-19 starts this year, including Game 2 versus New York. That 26.3% mark is on the higher end of the league and ranks third on the Aces behind Wilson and Kelsey Plum.

I expect the Liberty to continue to dare role players to beat them, and Clark’s first basket usage is encouraging. Getting +750 odds (11.7% implied probability) is incredible value here, and I do not believe it will stay in this range should the Aces survive a few more games.

As a side note, Clark to score the first basket of the game via a 3-pointer is worth a small sprinkle at +3300 odds on FanDuel.

Kelsey Plum 2+ Made Threes (-270)

Plum has to make a considerable scoring impact for Las Vegas to slay Goliath. As stated above, attacking New York from the 3-point line will have a crucial trickle-down effect that helps Wilson tremendously. That assignment mostly falls to Plum, who is one of the most dangerous shooters in the W.

During the regular season, she shot 36.8% on nearly eight triples per game and ranked in the 86th percentile in points per jump shot (via Synergy Sports). KP can handle the pressure and knock down shots against tight contests too.

These are her 3-point stats versus New York this year:

  • 2-for-5
  • 2-for-7
  • 5-for-10
  • 4-for-8 (G1)
  • 2-for-5 (G2)

Look for Plum to extend her 100% hit rate in Game 3.
