Phee could drop 30 points in any game, so fading her scoring is always a scary proposition. The Liberty are a tough matchup though.

During the regular season, New York’s defense held opponents to the lowest field goal percentage at the rim and inside the paint. They also snuffed out easy opportunities by controlling the defensive glass and defending without fouling. It will be an uphill climb for Phee because put-backs and free throws should be scarce.

Across four matchups this season, the Liberty contained Phee’s volume.

  • 15 points on 6-of-16 shooting
  • 21 points on 6-of-13 shooting
  • 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting
  • 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting

She’s not alone. New York has held centers to below their season-average point total in all six of their playoffs games so far – Tina Charles twice and A’ja Wilson four times. Collier averaged 20.4 points per game in the regular season, so that trend holding would indicate the under here.

Pick: Napheesa Collier Under 21.5 Points (-130)

Just because her scoring may be stymied doesn’t mean Phee won’t make an offensive impact. She’s developed into a legit playmaker who has notched at least four assists in 5-of-7 playoff games with the two misses both falling one short. Additionally, Phee recorded 3, 4, 4, and 6 dimes in her games against New York this year.

Minnesota’s offense ranks second in points per catch-and-shoot jumper and third in points per cut. Her teammates are efficient enough to knock down shots and convert potential assists into actual assists.

Overall, look for the Liberty to aggressively cover Phee and make others beat them.

Pick: Napheesa Collier 4+ Assists (+120)

Breanna Stewart Over 9.5 Rebounds (-136)

Stewie has crushed Minnesota on the glass. She’s grabbed 10, 11, 17, and 18 boards against them this year, and that’s no accident.

The Lynx cannot stop offensive rebounds from piling up; they gave up the third largest offensive rebound rate. Stewart should feast and exploit this weakness throughout the series, especially since Jonquel Jones spends plenty of time away from the basket on offense.

Plus, there will always be defensive rebounds that must be snatched once this elite Liberty defense forces a miss.

Pick: Breanna Stewart Over 9.5 Rebounds (-136)
