Sabrina Ionescu hit one of the greatest shots in WNBA history and guided the New York Liberty to a 2-1 series lead over the Minnesota Lynx as we head into Game 4 on Friday, October 18.

Will New York claim the championship? Or does Minnesota extend the Finals to a pivotal Game 5?

Keep reading for my WNBA same-game parlay for this Liberty vs Lynx battle.

While it may be boring to take this SGP bet again, it’s too good to pass up. The analysis remains the same.

During the regular season, New York and Minnesota sat atop the leaderboard in first-quarter offensive rating. Both teams typically come out firing on all cylinders.

Their starting lineups are thrashing each other in this series. The Liberty’s unit has scored 140 points across 141 possessions, which equals an elite 0.992 points per possession. Minnesota’s lack of size will continue to be a fundamental issue that leads to extra possessions, open triples, and rim attempts for New York’s offense.

On the flip side, the Lynx’s starting lineup has scored 141 points across 132 possessions, or 1.068 points per possession. Although New York’s defense has done a quality job of containing Napheesa Collier, it’s led to great looks for the Lynx’s numerous 3-point shooters.

I expect another flood of first-quarter points in Game 4, which has been a consistent trend throughout their seven matchups this season.

  • 48 points
  • 50 points
  • 42 points
  • 47 points
  • 51 points (Game 1)
  • 52 points (Game 2)
  • 46 points (Game 3)

Based on the 40.5 line, the over has hit in every contest between these teams. It wasn’t close in six of the seven games either.

New York’s defense gave up the fifth-most above-the-break triples per game in the regular season. With the team currently intent on stopping Phee, the Lynx are getting great looks from this area. Kayla McBride, in particular, is benefiting.

She’s a superb 3-point marksman who doesn’t need many opportunities to knock down a pair of triples, yet she’s receiving the volume anyway. Here are her 3-point stats against New York this season:

  • 4-for-6
  • 3-for-10
  • 3-for-5
  • 4-for-7 (Game 1)
  • 2-for-6 (Game 2)
  • 5-for-9 (Game 3)

That’s an average of 7.1 attempts per game from distance. Look for McBride to scorch the Liberty in Game 4 on her home court.

Overall, this same-game parlay is a perfect 6-for-6 this season, and snagging it at +144 odds represents great value.
