Closing out the weekend, the Women’s World Cup enters the final round of matches in the group stage, where I have selected my favorite prop bets for Sunday and Monday.

Every team is still eligible to advance to the knockout rounds out of Group A, and my first play comes in the fixture between Norway and the Philippines.

Meanwhile, I believe we continue to see goals in Group B, especially in the match between Australia and Canada for my next bet.

The drama only intensifies as we get to the final fixtures of the opening round, so let’s try to cash in with some prop bets at the World Cup.

World Cup Picks – Norway vs Philippines & Australia vs Canada

Norway vs Philippines – Norway -5 Corners (+120 via FanDuel)

One of the disappointments from this tournament so far has been Norway, who entered the competition as the group favorite. After two games, the Norwegian side finds themselves at the bottom of Group A with just one point.

The struggles have come in front of goal, where the Grasshoppers have failed to find the back of the net. However, they have been creating chances, generating 2.7 xG and a pair of big scoring chances, according to fbref.com.

When I look at how this game plays out, Norway should dominate possession as they push for goals, because a win is the only way they can claim a spot in the round of 16.

Meanwhile, the Philippines will be more than happy to sit in for a draw that could be enough to advance out of the group.

With the Grasshoppers pushing for goals, I believe this gives them a great opportunity to dominate in the corners count. So, I like them to cover the -5 spread on corners being offered at +120 odds at FanDuel.

It should also help that the Philippines have failed to register a single corner in their two games, and they have surrendered over 68% possession to both opponents.

Australia vs Canada – Both Teams to Score – Yes (-120 via bet365)

The hosts come into their final match of group play in third in Group B, while Canada are in second behind Nigeria – only down to the African nation having more goals scored.

Because of how the group is set up, both squads have something to play for, and I believe we should see goals in what could be a thrilling affair.

My favorite play on the board is to take both teams to score.

If you start first with Australia, the Matildas have created 3.8 xG and four big scoring chances in the tournament even without their star Sam Kerr. They have also allowed 2.0 xG and four big chances.

Canada have also put up solid numbers offensively, posting 3.7 xG and five big chances. This is also the same side that only has two clean sheets in six matches this year.

I also don’t hate a look at the second half to be the half with the most goals at +110 odds, which has cashed in six of Australia’s eight games this year and both in this tournament.

The one hesitation I have with that play is how the scores at halftime could impact this game. If Ireland are leading, a draw could be enough for both of these sides, but I don’t think these nations will want their fates to be settled by the team at the bottom of the group.
