The Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers will finish off their three-game series at American Family Field following a pair of low-scoring affairs.

Milwaukee won the opener on Monday, 3-1, before Toronto bounced back with a 3-0 shutout on Tuesday evening. Let's get to our Blue Jays vs. Brewers pick.

Toronto Blue Jays

The Blue Jays blew a late 11-9 lead at Detroit in a 14-11 loss on May 26 to fall to 23-29. Toronto has rebounded since that meltdown to win 10 of its last 15 games and creep back into the AL Wild Card race.

Yusei Kikuchi tossed five innings as the Jays used three base hits to pick up the 3-0 win Tuesday to improve to 6-2 in the past eight games away from Rogers Centre.

Chris Bassitt picked up 16 victories in his first season with Toronto in 2023 but struggled out of the gate this past April by allowing four earned runs apiece in losses at Tampa Bay and Houston.

Bassitt has rebounded since that tough start by giving up more than three earned runs just once in his last 11 outings. The right-hander won three consecutive starts recently before picking up a no-decision in a 2-1 loss at Oakland. Bassitt actually turned in his longest outing of the season by pitching eight innings, but the A's walked it off with a home run in the ninth inning off the Toronto bullpen.

The Jays have responded well in series finales of late by winning in six of the past seven opportunities, with the lone loss coming in that Detroit setback last month.

Milwaukee Brewers

In spite of Tuesday's defeat, Milwaukee still owns a strangehold atop the NL Central by leading Chicago and Cincinnati by seven games apiece.

The Brewers are 3-1 this season after getting shut out, while they've won six of the last nine games played during the day.

Tobias Myers takes the mound for Milwaukee in the finale as the rookie has posted a 2-2 record and 4.15 ERA. Milwaukee has lost all three of Myers' matinee starts, as the right-hander has given up four runs or more in two of those appearances.

In his previous start, Myers put together his best outing at the major league level with eight scoreless innings in a 10-0 blowout of the Tigers last Friday.

June has been a tough month for Brewers' slugger Christian Yelich, who has driven in two runs in the last 10 games. Yelich is batting .277 in this stretch but has not scored a run since May 31.

Betting Pick & Prediction

Myers has turned into a nice piece of this Brewers' rotation, but it will be tough to replicate his last effort in Detroit. Also, Myers' daytime numbers have not been good, along with his home stats, as his ERA at American Family Field sits at 6.75.

Bassitt has stepped it up over the last month and is worth a strong look to help Toronto win another series finale.
