Tied at one apiece, the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers square off with the series on the line on Sunday night.

The Braves secured the win on Saturday behind ace Max Fried and look to keep the ball rolling as Spencer Strider takes the mound for a primetime matchup with Tony Gonsolin.

The parlay I've picked out for tonight's contest follows the narrative that Atlanta continues to swing a red-hot bat and rolls at Truist Park.

The Parlay (+501):

  • Braves ML
  • Dansby Swanson to record a hit
  • Travis d'Arnaud to record an RBI

Same-Game Parlay: Dodgers vs. Braves

Braves ML (+100)

Strider is undervalued at home here, as the Braves look to close out the series with a win on Sunday Night Baseball.

The 23-year-old has an elite 37% strikeout rate and advanced metrics that rank in the upper echelon of starting pitchers. He's even underperformed according to expected indicators.

Strider's xERA (3.15) is just below his actual ERA (3.40), but it's his xFIP (2.72) that stands out. Opponents also have a .289 batting average on balls in play compared to a .214 xBA, showing that batters have been quite fortunate success-wise against Strider.

He draws a tough matchup against Gonsolin, who has a sparkling 1.58 ERA thus far this season. His xFIP (3.74) is a bit concerning, though, as he's stranded runners on base at an elite rate that's unsustainable even for MLB's elite.

Gonsolin should suffer negative regression in the coming weeks, and Sunday night is a perfect opportunity against a red-hot Atlanta team — .273 average, .517 slugging in June — at home.

It's also important to note the right-hander's ERA also jumps up 1.5 runs on the road compared to at Dodger Stadium.

At even money, I think it's worth a shot backing Strider and Atlanta at Truist Park.

Dansby Swanson To Record a Hit (-180)

The hottest hitter on the Atlanta Braves in June has been Dansby Swanson.

Sandwiched between Ronald Acuna Jr. and Austin Riley, Swanson is often attacked head-on by the opposing pitcher.

The problem? He's hitting .307, leads the team in RBI (43) and has a .511 slugging percentage.

In the month of June, Swanson is hitting .383 with 19 RBI across 94 at-bats. He's slugging .660 and ranks in the top-15 percent of all hitters in barrel rate, xwOBA and xSLG.

Swanson's numbers also see a drastic bump at Truist Park, where he hits .347 with a .612 slugging compared to a .260 average and a measly .390 slugging percentage.

Sunday night provides another opportunity for Swanson to keep swinging a hot bat atop the Braves' lineup.

Travis d'Arnaud To Record an RBI (+165)

Another player that has swung a ridiculously hot bat in June is Travis d'Arnaud. He enters with a hit in nine of the last 10 games.

The 33-year-old has a .308 average in the month of June and has 17 RBI in just 52 at-bats. His slugging percentage is an impressive .731, and he's struck out just seven times.

The right-hander should have plenty of RBI opportunities on Sunday night in the middle of this dangerous Atlanta lineup.

d'Arnaud has also been great with runners in scoring position this season. He's hitting .349 with a 1.102 OPS and a 202 wRC+. His strikeout rate drops off over 13% compared to when the bases are empty, and he often comes through in the clutch.

Following the game script of a Braves win and a Swanson hit, d'Arnaud should have a few opportunities to drive in some runs on Sunday night, and I think it's worth throwing him in to finish off the parlay.
