The same-day weather report for the Cleveland Guardians vs. New York Yankees ALDS Game 5 is in, and it may not be a smooth affair on Monday night.

The win-or-go-home matchup from New York City may be postponed due to rain, and wind will be another mitigating factor throughout Monday's matchup.

Monday's victor will face the Houston Astros in the American League Championship Series.

The Yankees have market-best odds at WynnBet at -143. Meanwhile, the Guardians' best market price is with DraftKings at +135.

With these factors in mind, let's examine the updated MLB weather forecast for Guardians vs. Yankees Game 5 on Monday night.

MLB Weather Report for Guardians vs. Yankees

There's a 54% chance of rain at first pitch at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx tonight, but those odds increase later in the night.

The chances for rain increase to as high as 67% at 8 p.m. ET, which would take place at roughly the third inning.

Winds and gusts may reach up to 8 mph as the game progresses, with the wind currently projected to blow out toward left field.

There's a solid chance this game is delayed, though the parties involved will try their best to ensure this series isn't pushed back another day. Game 2 from the Bronx was already delayed one day due to rain.

And with the ALCS against the Astros scheduled to begin on Wednesday, a delay to Tuesday would take out a much needed travel day for whichever team gets out of this ALDS Game 5 alive.

While a lengthy delay may be annoying for Guardian or Yankees fans, take solace in this — the odds of rain continuing throughout the night are much lower.

By 11 p.m. ET, the odds of rain are about 24%. Those odds decrease to 20% at 12 a.m ET.
