The 2023 Home Run Derby field is set. Eight of the game's premier sluggers take center stage at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on Monday, July 10, at 8 p.m. ET.

Pete Alonso of the New York Mets is the slight favorite to take home the crown (+300 at FanDuel). Alonso is looking to join Ken Griffey Jr. as the only three-time winners of the event. He won in 2019 and 2021 (there was no Home Run Derby in 2020), but he was dethroned by Juan Soto, then of the Washington Nationals, last season.

The player Soto bested in the finals last season, hometown favorite Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners, is the fourth-betting favorite at +500. Right in front of him is Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays at +350.

Guerrero has never won a Home Run Derby, but put together arguably the most impressive performance in the field in a runner-up performance in 2019. He hit a derby-best 91 home runs in three rounds, including the highest total in the first round (29, to beat Matt Chapman) and the second round (40, to beat Joc Pederson). Guerrero lost by one home run to Alonso in the finals.

The five other participants in this year's field are all derby newcomers, including veteran and former MVP Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who has the second-longest odds at +1500.

Just ahead of Rodriguez as the third favorite is Luis Robert Jr. of the Chicago White Sox (+400). Robert is the No. 1 seed in the bracketed format, which seeds players based on how many regular-season home runs they've hit this year.

Rounding out the field are Adolis Garcia of the Texas Rangers (+700), Randy Arozarena of the Tampa Bay Rays (+950) and Adley Rutschman of the Baltimore Orioles (+2000).

The top-seeded Robert will face 8-seed Rutschman in the first round, while the other matchup on the left side of the bracket pits 4-seed Garcia against 5-seed Arozarena.

On the right side of the bracket, 2-seed Alonso will face 7-seed Rodriguez (Rodriguez knocked off Alonso in the semifinals last year), while 3-seed Betts takes on 6-seed Guerrero.
