The MLB world was shaken to its core when former Washington Nationals superstar Juan Soto was traded to the San Diego Padres on Tuesday.
Soto will undoubtedly bolster a Padres' lineup that already had its eyes set on winning the World Series. The Padres got an additional boost in also acquiring Josh Bell from the Nationals.
The pair will make their debut for Slam Diego on Wednesday night against the Colorado Rockies.
Let's take a look at some of the player props as both players prepare for don their new jerseys for the first time.
Juan Soto Player Props
Before acquiring Soto, the Padres were around 20-1 to win the World Series at most books. However, they shot down to 10-1 after the acquisition. They also went from +900 to +450 to win the NL at Caesars.
Soto also got a boost in his MVP odds, going from 50-1 to 30-1 to win the award as he joined a contender.
Soto has hit 21 home runs over 101 games this season and is +400 to hit a dinger tonight on DraftKings.
He is -200 to record a hit and +145 to not record a hit at DraftKings. The 23-year-old is hitting .246 this season after hitting over .300 in his past two seasons. It appears he's in for some positive regression.
Soto's total bases line is set at 1.5 with +145 to the over and -195 to the under.
Josh Bell Player Props
Bell, despite not yet displaying the type of power we've become accustomed to, has had a solid season at the dish.
He's +450 on DraftKings to hit a home run tonight. He's hit 14 home runs this season after hitting nearly 30 last season.
Bell is batting over .300 and has better odds to record a hit tonight than Soto as he's -280 to get a hit and +200 to not get a hit at DraftKings.
His total bases is set at 1.5 with +110 to the over and -145 to the under.
