The Los Angeles Dodgers stole the headlines for a majority of the offseason, inking Shohei Ohtani to a 10-year, $700 million contract, right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto to a 12-year, $325 million contract and trading for and extending former Tampa Bay Rays ace Tyler Glasnow.
As you might expect, the Dodgers enter the 2024 MLB season with sky-high expectations — even relative to their already lofty standards. For a team that has won 100-plus games in three straight seasons and five of the last six full seasons, that's saying quite a bit.
Sportsbooks are right there with them.
The Dodgers' win total has been set between 103.5 and 104.5 across six different sportsbooks. While only one of those six sportsbooks is at the high end of 104.5, that number would be tied for the highest preseason win total since at least 1990, according to the database at Sports Odds History.

What is the Los Angeles Dodgers 2024 Win Total?
The Dodgers' 2024 win total ranges from 103.5 to 104.5 across the six sportsbooks we looked at. Just one, bet365, is on the high end at 104.5, but the juice on the over implies they've still been taking heavy money on that figure. If you want to bet the under at 104.5, you can get even money.
Caesars toed the middle of this sample, with a pushable 104 with equal -110 vigs on either side. DraftKings, FanDuel, ESPN BET and BetMGM all list the total at 103.5. If you like the over, the best price is the -105 offered at BetMGM. If you like the under, the best price is -105 listed by both FanDuel and ESPN BET.
How Does the Dodgers' 2024 Win Total Stack Up Historically?
At bet365's number of 104.5, the Dodgers would be tied for the highest preseason win total since at least 1990, alongside the 1999 Yankees. You might recall that the previous year's Yankees team won 114 games and the World Series, and is on the short list of best teams assembled in MLB history.
The Dodgers, it should come as no surprise, appear on this list of the six teams with preseason win totals of 100 or higher. The 2021 team was listed at 102.5.
Interestingly enough, that team is also the only one that wound up cashing the over for bettors, finishing the season with 106 wins. And hilariously enough, that Dodgers team actually didn't win its own division, finishing second to the San Francisco Giants, who won 107 games.
All the other five teams on this list went under their total. Cleveland's 1996 team — fresh off a World Series appearance — came the closest, finishing with 99 wins with a win total of 100 in the preseason.
What Do Projection Systems Think of the 2024 Dodgers?
Action Network MLB betting analyst Sean Zerillo broke down how he's betting Dodgers futures in his MLB betting preview.
From Zerillo:
By the public projections (range 93-102), the Dodgers are the most over-valued regular season team heading into the 2024 season. The public projection would take the Under to around 100.5 (peak projection 101.4); the composite projection would demand Under 104 or better.
