I don't love attacking strikeout props early in the season because we have nothing to go off of for starting pitchers. I may hold off on betting on those until next week after we see each starter once.

The props worth looking into right away, though, are home run props.

Home run props will typically sharpen as the season goes on. For now, there are some edges to take advantage of, including my favorite Saturday pick, which I'm putting 0.2 units on.

This is obviously a tougher matchup for Jeimer Candelario with a first-ballot Hall of Famer in Justin Verlander on the mound for the Giants.

That said, Verlander does allow a lot of fly balls, which increases the chances that Candelario will get one in the air here.

Cincinnati is the most ideal ballpark for home runs, and Candelario would have 41 more home runs in his career if he played every single game at The Great American Ball Park.

I'm playing this for 0.2 units as I have fair odds of Candelario to hit a home run at closer to +400.
