MLB Home Run Picks for April 25

Ben Rice Home Run (+500)

vs. Blue Jays (SP: RHP Jose Berrios)

Header Trailing Logo

Ben Rice has been great this season and he's in a great spot to potentially homer today.

Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios isn't a bad pitcher, but he has struggled against left-handed sluggers in his career, with a 1.45 HR/9 — he has been even worse in recent seasons.

Rice has been absolutely hammering the ball this season with a 24.5% barrel%, to go along with one of the highest exit velocities in the league and a massive hard hit rate.

I have the true odds on Rice nearly 100 points lower, making this a great EV bet.

Anthony Santander Home Run (+420)

@ Yankees (SP: RHP Carlos Carrasco)

Header Trailing Logo

While he's been off to a rough start, Anthony Santander is in a good spot to potentially homer against the Yankees.

Carlos Carrasco isn't a great pitcher at this point in his career and he has been absolutely crushed by power hitters in recent years.

Carrasco owns close to a 1.6 HR/9 to lefties over the last three seasons. Santander gets a ballpark upgrade playing in Yankee Stadium, which is great for lefty power.

The weather is slightly below average with temps in the mid 60s and winds crossing, but WeatherEdge has that as basically a non-factor.

I have the true odds on Santander around +370.

Shea Langeliers Home Run (+390)

vs. White Sox (SP: RHP Sean Burke)

Header Trailing Logo

Shea Langeliers has been good this season with five homers in 22 games; he should be close to a 35-40 HR hitter since he plays his home games at Sutter Health Park.

The weather isn't bad today with slightly below average temps. Also, winds blowing out at 9 mph in what is a very wind receptive ballpark is a huge plus.

I have the true odds on Langeliers close to +300.

Brent Rooker Home Run (+320)

vs. White Sox (SP: RHP Sean Burke)

Header Trailing Logo

Brent Rooker has been fantastic this season and he gets a great spot tonight going up against White Sox right-hander Sean Burke.

Burke owns a 2.49 HR/9 this season and grades out as a plus HR matchup for righties based on his minor-league numbers. He has an above-average fly-ball rate and gives up a ton of hard contact to righties.

Add in the great ballpark with the winds blowing out at 9 mph and this line is far too high.
