On Thursday, we head to Dodger Stadium to take a NRFI between two NL West rivals.
The Giants will send out their best off-season pickup and ace in Carlos Rodon. In 2022, he has been nothing less than amazing toward the NRFI. Coming into today at 15-2 to the NRFI places him among the best NRFI pitchers in the league. His road split is just as impressive at 8-1.
Rodon has also won all of his previous matchups against these Dodgers hitters:
- Mookie Betts: 1-for-17
- Justin Turner: 1-for-9
- Trea Turner: 1-for-6
- Freddie Freeman: 0-for-5
Rodon has held the top of the Dodgers' lineup to a collective 3-for-37 in his career. Additionally, Max Muncy, who is projected to bat sixth today, is just 1-for-8 in his last seven days with five strikeouts.
The Dodgers will counter with Mitch White. At 6-2 this year, it looks like he may have turned the corner in his second season. In eight first innings pitched, White holds an impressive 0.75 WHIP while also only allowing four hits in 30 batters faced.
