Throughout this season, I’ll be evaluating my favorite MLB player props of a slate based on what the Action Labs Player Prop tool likes — the tool grades each bet on a scale from 1-10, with 10 being the best possible grade.
Below, I have laid out my favorite prop bet I’m playing for Sunday, the case for the bet and the best books to find odds on that player prop.

Shohei Ohtani Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+120)

The runaway American League MVP will take the mound on Sunday in Shohei Ohtani. In addition to being just one home run off the league lead with 45, Ohtani has gone 9-2 with a 3.28 ERA in 22 starts on the mound.
With a fastball that reaches triple-digits, Ohtani also uses a devastating splitter that is allowing just a .067 batting average and generating a 58.3 K%. Ohtani has a 10.65 K/9 rate and is averaging 6.6 strikeouts per start.
It is always fun to back Ohtani, so let’s cap of the week taking his strikeout over.
