It's the final Friday of the Major League Baseball regular season, and I will be backing three NL East hitters tonight in Kyle Schwarber, Michael Harris II, and Jose Iglesias. Let's dive into my MLB player prop picks for Friday, September 27.

Alex Hinton's MLB Player Prop Picks for Tonight

  • Kyle Schwarber Over 1.5 Total Bases (+110, BetMGM)
  • Michael Harris II Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105, DraftKings)
  • Jose Iglesias Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-110, BetMGM)

MLB player prop bets and MLB prop bets are becoming increasingly popular among bettors. These wagers focus on individual player performances, such as runs, home runs and strikeouts, adding excitement by allowing bettors to target specific player statistics rather than just game outcomes.

Kyle Schwarber has hit 40+ home runs in each of the last two years. He comes into this game with 38 homers on the year. With the Phillies having clinched the NL and a bye in the NLDS, it would not be a surprise if he rested at some point this weekend. However, considering his matchup tonight, Schwarber may just secure his third consecutive 40-home run tonight.

Schwarber comes into this game with 12 hits in 44 at-bats (.273) against Trevor Williams. Half of those hits are home runs and two more are doubles. With 2/3 of hits against Williams going for extra bases, Schwarber is a great candidate to clear his total bases line tonight and he often is anyway.

Schwarber has recorded two total bases in four of his last five and seven of his last 10 games. He has homered in three of his last five games and returns to one of his favorite ballparks. Schwarber is a .283 hitter with 26 home runs and a 1.063 OPS at Nationals Park, and he is a .272 hitter with 20 home runs and 1.034 OPS against the Nationals. On DraftKings, Schwarber is +250 for a home run and +1800 for two if he hits his 40th tonight.

Royals vs Braves Player Prop Pick: Favorable Matchup for Michael Harris II

Michael Harris II Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105)

Speaking of power hitters, the Braves have a few more recognizable home run hitters than Michael Harris II, most notably Marcell Ozuna and Matt Olson this season. However, Harris is the one with five home runs in his last seven games, and as the leadoff hitter, Harris has been a strong table setter as well.

Harris has a hit in 13 of his last 15 games and enters tonight's game on an eight-game hitting streak. Over that hitting streak, he is hitting .487 with a double, triple, the aforementioned five home runs, and a 1.486 OPS. He has recorded two total bases in seven straight games and two hits (+195) in six of those games.

Harris will face Brady Singer tonight, who has enjoyed a solid year with a 3.65 ERA and 165 strikeouts. However, left-handers have given him fits as they are hitting .294 with 26 doubles, a triple, 15 home runs, and a .861 OPS. Singer also has a 4.25 ERA on the road this season.

Harris is in a good spot to continue his hot streak tonight. He is also +550 on DraftKings if he hits another home run tonight.

Mets vs Brewers Player Prop Pick: Expect Jose Iglesias' Hot Streak to Continue

Jose Iglesias Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-110)

Harris enters today's game with his hitting streak, but Jose Iglesias has more than doubled it to this point. Iglesias will head to Milwaukee with a 17-game hitting streak and he is hitting .409 with a .950 OPS in that stretch. Of late, he has been batting leadoff with Francisco Lindor out of the lineup. The Mets actually went 6-2 in that stretch, but with Lindor back tonight, Iglesias will likely go back down to the bottom of the lineup. However, I still see this as a positive.

Many of Iglesias hits are singles as he has five extra-base hits through his hitting streak and 21 for the season. That is why I prefer his hits + runs + runs batted in line opposed to his total bases. If Iglesias gets on with a single, Lindor will be able to drive him in once the lineups turns over. Lindor has 86 runs batted in on the year.

However, that may not be necessary if Iglesias has another multi-hit game. He has eight multi-hit games during his hitting streak and he is +205 on DraftKings for two hits tonight. As a result, he has hit his HRR line in five of his last five, eight of his last 10, and 14 of his last 20 games. With the Mets fighting for their postseason lives, I expect Iglesias to get on base and continue those trends tonight.
